Basildon and Billericay

Groups

You must be a member of Basildon and Billericay u3a before you can attend a group. Please don't contact any of our groups before you have joined us.

u3a members share their knowledge, skills, experience and enthusiasm - to teach themselves and each other without any need for paid teachers.

u3a interest/activity Groups are a great way of meeting like-minded people with whom you can share your hobbies, interests and expertise. One of u3a's guiding principles is that learning must be primarily for fun and enjoyment and there are no examinations taken or qualifications given.

Information on Basildon & Billericay u3a's Groups and their Co-ordinators is sent to u3a members on joining and then updated regularly on our website. Sometimes Groups may be full but it is still worth contacting the Group Co-ordinator, via the group email, to check, since a place may become available or members' names may be added to a waiting list. New interest/activity Groups may also be formed at any time, whenever there is a demand for them, say by two or three members having a common interest, so if the Group you are looking for is not listed, please contact the Groups Facilitator to ask about starting a new Group.

Group Resources are available at the Resource Centre of the Third Age Trust National Office which has a collection of material available for u3a Groups to borrow on many subjects. They are available for both Group Co-ordinators and members. Contact resource.centre@u3a.org.uk or telephone 0208 315 0199.
